Thanks for submitting your Persona ‘FUCK GOOGLE’. Unfortunately, we cannot add your Persona because of the following reason: The design you submitted contains material unsuitable for all audiences of the gallery.

We appreciate your involvement in the Personas community and encourage you to create another design that fits our Terms of Service (http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/upload)

Also, you are able to use any design you like on your own computer. Here is how:

    1. If you have Personas installed, click on the little fox on the bottom left of your computer screen.

    2. Click on “Preferences” and ensure the box “Show Custom Persona in Menu” is checked and close the box.

    3. Click on the little fox again. Mouse over “Custom” in the menu and to the right find and click “Edit”.

This will take you to a custom persona interface that will let you design any persona you like for your own computer. Thank you again for being a part of our community.

If you have any questions or want more information, please stop by the Persona message boards and tell us what’s on your mind.

    Best Wishes,
    The Personas Team

  • Google jamming on your Firefox

It ain’t “public” space unless you have a right to hack. Let me introduce a series of greasemonkey scripts that turn Google into your free playground…

    http://www.gzzglz.com/

Following a great classic work by ZEVS, this script makes all Google logos (including holiday doodles!) “dripping” during your daily surfing.

I know, you even wanna draw “fuck” on Google logos. This script makes it possible. All strokes “drip” of course, and you can change stroke colors by pressing number keys.

You need a larger wall? Then this lets you draw tags on search results! Remove results you don’t need by double-clicking them and make your own wall to draw.

Also here’s another prototype script I made before, try and see the result!

All codes are in public domain, written by ysugano from Tokyo F.A.T.

  • Ctrl+F’d, censoring the interwebs

With recent mistakes by companies and organizations not knowing how to properly censor online documents, its easy to see why people believe the text they can’t see can’t be read. And with computer illiterate talking heads like Rush Limbaugh or internet illiterate censorship advocates like Ursula von der Leyen, it is easy to befuddle them with the appearance of censored text on the web pages they commonly visit.

A playful experiment in “censoring” a web page by hiding text and images behind blocks.

    Ctrl+F'd Example

Try it out on your fffffavorite web pages. Grab the bookmarklet below and drag into the bookmarklet bar (or right-click as ‘Bookmark/Favorite this Link’).

Or mess with your ffffffriends. Download the Firefox extension, install into GreaseMonkey, or grab the JavaScript code and add to your site.

Don’t forget to take screenshots of your fffffavorite Ctrl+F’d web sites. Post ‘em in the comments!

  • China Channel Firefox Add-on

Experience the censored Chinese internet at home!

The Firefox add-on China Channel offers internet users outside of China the ability to surf the web as if they were inside mainland China. Take an unforgetable virtual trip to China and experience the technical expertise of the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry (supported by western companies). It’s open source, free and easy.

    Watch the fffffat screencast:

This project is currently exhibited at the “Videotage” in Hong Kong (6.10.-4.11.2008)
Two computers are connected to a single keyboard and mouse allowing visitors to control both identical machines at the same time while using just a single input device. The only difference between the two internet terminals is their network connection; one machine is connected to the less restricted internet in Hong Kong, while the other is connected to the internet through a connection point in the mainland of China.
