Stop SOPA/PIPA Blackout

The SOPA (H.R.3261) & PIPA (S.968) are terrible pieces of legislation that gives broad powers for the courts to take down sites by claims from “infringed” users. If SOPA or PIPA are voted for by Congress, it could devastate the artistic expression and livelihood of many artists, hackers, and entrepreneurs.
Protest the SOPA/PIPA bills and install the blackout code on your site to let your visitors know what they could miss out if SOPA/PIPA do pass.
Paste this code into your Tumblr themes, website, and more…
<script type="text/javascript">
var FATLAB_Stop_SOPA = {
color : '#000000',
promote : true
};
document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="http://fffff.at/stop_sopa/blackout.js?v=1&e83a2c"></scr'+'ipt>');
</script>
The color can also be changed to a hex code, an rgb(), or rgba() format. You can also choose disable the promotion overlay by changing promote to false.
Post your site link in the comments so we can track and spread the word!

Load time to your site was too long so I mirrored the blackout.js to http://www.lakecityquietpills.com/blackout.js
Thanks.
Greg Leuch added these pithy words on Dec 15 11 at 10:56 amIf you want to get updates &/or have the script deactivated when the SOPA bill is gone, please use the FAT link or the following link:

Thanks y’all!
Richard Best added these pithy words on Dec 22 11 at 11:53 pm…that’s if I did it right- put it in the header- if it should go elsewhere, it would help if your instructions were clearer, would probably help anyway for those who have less knowledge of how to go about doing what you’re asking them to…
