Over the course of the last week, F.A.T.’s Occupy the Internet script has been installed on over 700 websites, serving up millions of animated gif protestors in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Opening this Tuesday at 9am EST is the Occupy the Internet Exhibition, where we’re temporarily replacing the current virtual protestors with new animated .gifs from a group of leading net artists, internet activists, street artists and comedians. To attend, go to any of these occupied websites.

Coming in strong at #1 is tepco.researchlab.jp by Tokyo F.A.T., a protest of the Japanese power company’s wikipedia page — over 150k unique visitors in the last 72 hours.
