P2P backup/shared storage is kind of interesting though. I’m also a core developer on the Hydra torrent tracker, which supports federation — my hydra talks to your hydra, and they both share active torrents. It makes sense for torrents, but less so for photos — you want as many people as possible to download the torrent and keep it alive, but I might not want people to be getting my dope photos at your site. ;)

Halvfet version is currently in final testing phases, expect a real release soon.

I’ve thrown it all up online and it works until I put an image in there and then it goes all php error on my ass. Any help from anyone who understands code?

That didn’t work – it changed the error. I started again with a fresh download and install and it’s still showing errors. I changed ALL permissions to 0777

To wweeggee and others considering using Flickr or any other such site. Another reason why your should not depend on such sites is they control what goes up. After all, like it or not, it’s their site. Always best to get your own site, then you decide what goes up.
